Granulometry

Would you like to measure the particle size distribution of your samples? The Calnesis laboratory carries out these measurements using various techniques adapted to your needs.

Granulometry is the determination of the particle size distribution of a sample. The particles in question may be in granular or powder form, or even dispersed in a liquid phase.

Method

There are many granulometry techniques. The technique chosen depends on several factors, including the size of the particles to be analyzed:

  • Sieving
  • Centrifugation
  • Laser granulometry (dry or wet process)
  • Microscopy
  • Zeta potential
The choice of the proposed particle size method will be adapted to your samples

Other measurements
Measurement of the porosity of samples carried out for all types of solids (powder, etc.)
Measurement of the roughness of solid samples by profilometry.
Study by profilometry 2D or 3D of the surface of samples
