Tensile strength measurement

Do you want to measure the tensile strength of your solid samples? Calnesis Laboratory carries out this type of measurement by carrying out tensile tests until failure.

What is tensile strength?

The tensile strength and maximum tensile stress applicable to a material before its mechanical failure. This rupture can take place in the domain of elastic behavior in the case of brittle materials. It takes place in the domain of plastic behavior in the case of ductile materials.

How to measure the tensile strenght?

The measurement is carried out by using tensile test curves. On those curves, it is the maximum stress in N applied before the length of the sample becomes infinite by mechanical rupture.
